"Fly By"

Coming up with a idea was when I got this new stamp set
Avery Elle "Fly By"
I fell in love with this stamp set as soon as I saw it.
I love this stamp set because my dad is a small plane pilot since I was a little girl.
So I made this card for him.
The first thing I did was cut a double stitched rectangle using:
It measures about 5 1/2 x 4. This die set has 5 pieces in it, and I have used it alot already.
The challenge is resist and what I did was masking. I had never done this before but I gave it a try.
The first thing I did was stamp with Memento Luxe Tuxedo Black ink, on the white card stock and on some masking paper. I then cut out the stamped objects
and layed them on top of the stamped objects on the card stock.
I took Tim Holtz Salty Oceans, distress ink and applied it with the mini ink blending tool, on the white card around the masked objects. Then I took off the masking tape and my stamped objects below it where perfect!
I was so excited that it worked. Then I colored in with a copic # R27 the words Love you.
For the clouds I embossed them with WOW "Sparkling Snow" embossing powder, it sure gave them a real sparkling look.

So not to think I could take it to easy, I did some searching on something else I could do.  I found a resist painting by using wax paper with a embossing folder, and adding distress ink on top of it. So that's what I did, and it did work really well.

Tis the season for Love! So I wanted to make a card for a guy and as you know that's pretty hard sometimes.
I got a idea off of Pinterest, looking at different pictures and ideas of how to do it.
I embossed a piece of wax paper, then mad a sandwich of scrap paper, card stock, wax paper, card stock, scrap paper. Then took a hot iron, with no steam and pressed it for about three times. Then peeled it away and you could see a faint print on it.
Then used Tim Holtz mini distress inks : Peacocks Feathers, Mustard Seed & Fired Brick. To apply them I used the mini tool plus the mini pads, and then had fun adding it to the wax design left on the paper. I just kept going back and forth with the colors until I was happy with it. Then I sprayed Tattered angel glimmer shine, on top of it to give it a little more shine.
For the butter fly, Altenew Bejeweled Stamp set, and the matching die set Altenew Bejewled die set.
Then embossed it with WOW copper embossing powder.
The saying on the card also embossed with copper embossing powder.
The words where from the stamp set The Greeting Farm "Flutter Heart"
The words Love Ya is from Cas-ual Fridays Die  "Love Ya"
and used gold glitter paper for the words.
I ended up really having fun making this card, and can't wait to do it again.

"Love Ya" for stopping by!!!!

CHEER UP

Welcome back everyone. This is Debbie back again, and am so excited to be on the DT Inspirational Compadres for Laura's Loft.
The card I made is for a male family member who had surgery. So I had just recieved the new stamp set from Laura's shop.
The new stamp set is called:
I was also so excited to get my first stiched die set and as you can see it looks great.
I did add a little black marker ink to make some of the stiched dies stand out.
I also used the Virgina Turtle, enamel dot "Autumn" to finish off the two little tags that I had connected together.
Thanks for stopping buy, and I hope you all stay well this winter months.
